Feasibility study of a robotic system for high throughput nucleic acid analysis

Project

  • HT Nucleic Acid AnalysisThe cornerstone of the robotic system is a 6-axes industrial robot and the magnetic separation module of the chemagic MSM I. We demonstrated that the whole process from sample supply up to high throughput nucleic acid purification and storage of the eluates can be fully automated. In addition, the industrial robot is mounted on a rail system. Therefore the design of the system allows for transport of eluates via a sally port into a separate and closed chamber for subsequent qPCR detection analysis.
