Biochip production line
Project
A high-throughput microarray spotter for the commercial production of biochips was engineered, designed, and produced – starting from scratch. The whole process chain of supplying reagents and biochips in process, dispensing liquid drops in the pL range and final storage of the processed biochips under stable conditions was realized in one machine. Furthermore, the system design allows for upgrades in case of changing capacity requirements. In-process control via an optical system and LIMS connection were further milestones during the development process.
